School Safety

Every home and school should teach children about safety and protection measures. As a parent, you should take an active interest in your children and listen to them.

Emergency Safety

We all want to keep our children safe and secure and help them live to their full potential. Knowing how to prevent leading causes of child injury, like drowning, is a step toward this goal.

Social Media Safety

Keep your children safe online and teach them security measures that will help them avoid the dangers of social media and other potential threats on the internet

Stranger Danger

What to Do if Your Child Gets Lost. Most children are found quickly, often even before they realize a parent is looking for them. And parent’s worst fear - abduction by a stranger or an acquaintance, where the child is taken from home -- is very rare

Stranger Danger

Drugs and Alcohol

Kids need to learn the harmful and potentially fatal effects of underage alcohol and drug use. Parents need to learn how to talk to their kids about illicit substances, as well as how to recognize early warning signs of drug and alcohol use.

Internet and Social Media Safety

"Back in the day" we could tell our children not to talk to strangers and it was easy to understand.  The Internet and Social Media has changed the definition of STRANGER forever. Gone are the days when a child’s home is a refuge from playground or neighborhood bullies. The Internet is the new playground, and there are no off-hours. And "Strangers" can come in the form of a computer screen.

Bullying and Gang Violence

One thing parents may struggle with is explaining the difference to your children between being Bullied or someone just having a bad day. Defining the term Bully can often be confusing, and is best discussed when you and your child are both focusing on each other.  Children will often tell you exactly what is going on if you just take the time to dedicate your focus to "chatting" with them.
